Perhaps I'm just a sad old farmer, but walking through a field of barley that's in ear, waving gently in the breeze with the evening sun in your face is such an evocative experience. As you walk up the tramline your hand instinctively moves out to brush the crop, like the touch of silk on the palm of your hand.

This week has been our Waste Watchers Holiday Club where we have welcomed between 30 and 40 lively children into the church each morning!
‘Praise be to the Lord, God our saviour, who daily bears our burdens.’
Summer has arrived!! Time for rest and relaxation in this amazing weather we have been blessed with recently. Maybe a holiday in this country or abroad. Catching up and spending time with family or friends. A chance to go on a Christian summer conference and be spiritually fed.
First of all a confession: When it’s my turn to write this newsletter article, I normally find it hard to come up with an idea and I spend ages trying to get started, but not this time though. And that’s entirely because I’ve shamelessly stolen a topic (and some of the words) from a brilliant talk that Angharad gave at youth group earlier in the year!
I was sitting gazing at my screen with not a clue what to write for this newsletter when the Postie arrived. A great distraction. But there, in the midst of the cards, bills and junk was an A5 envelope from New Wine! It made all the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
