I was blessed this year with a birthday gift of art classes from my lovely husband! I've wanted to do this for a long time and although I'm enjoying it overall, at times I find it quite frustrating and can understand now why it's called a 'work' of art. I have also been surprised at my emotions at times.
Remembrance Sunday – and I think of my late father-in-law, Frederick Albert, whose names were given in memory of relatives who died in the Great War. That generation knew what it was to have large gaps in their family tree as many young men were struck down at the very height of their powers.
I don’t know about you, but my life seems to get so busy that often, God gets squeezed out by the pressures of life and by all the stuff I have to do! I still manage to pray and read the Bible each day, but somehow, I have lost my priorities amongst the busyness of life.
Perseverance is a word most of would not choose for ourselves, but the truth is - we all must persevere; in our faith, and in our calling - to see all that God has for us come to pass.
As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.’ As many of you know at the beginning of this month we held a mission weekend hosted by Through Faith Missions in which ten evangelists joined us in putting on various events including dads and kids in the cafe, harvest outreach, café church and a healing and wholeness service.
